Karen Clark & Company Expands Management Team
Boston, MA – February 1, 2016
Karen Clark & Company (KCC) is pleased to announce two additions to its senior management team—Dr. Nozar Kishi and Mr. Christopher Mossey.
Dr. Kishi assumes the role of Vice President, Model Development, and will lead several modeling initiatives including the Japan typhoon and earthquake Reference Models. Dr. Kishi has more than 20 years of catastrophe modeling experience including managing the development of global multi-hazard models for all of the major modeling companies as well as the development of in-house models and tools for intermediaries and reinsurers. Dr. Kishi is a well-known and respected Earthquake Engineer with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University and a Post-Doctoral from UCLA.
"I'm thrilled to be joining KCC," said Dr. Kishi. "It's very interesting from a scientific perspective to be working on the latest advancements in the catastrophe modeling space, and it's always exciting to work with Karen Clark, who is so well known for driving innovation in this industry. I'm looking forward to building transparent Reference Models and working with our clients to help them build their own proprietary models and views on the new RiskInsight® open loss modeling platform."
Mr. Mossey has joined as Vice President, Client Development, and is working with major insurers and reinsurers to leverage the RiskInsight open platform and comprehensive catastrophe management toolkit. Mr. Mossey has 20 years of business development experience at major software companies, including the past three years in the catastrophe modeling industry.
"After working with insurers and reinsurers for several years, it's clear that KCC and RiskInsight are transforming how these companies understand and manage catastrophe risk," said Mr. Mossey. "Many companies are not yet aware of the powerful risk visualization and analytical tools that come as an integral part of the RiskInsight platform and how the new Characteristic Event (CE) risk metrics provide additional valuable perspectives to underwriters, CEOs and boards. It's been an eye-opening experience for me, and I'm looking forward to working with clients to incorporate these advanced capabilities into their internal work flows and risk management decisions."
"I'm delighted Dr. Kishi and Mr. Mossey have joined KCC," said Karen Clark, KCC CEO. "They each bring unique and valuable perspectives to our professional team that will be instrumental as we expand into new areas to accommodate the growing industry demand for advanced global modeling capabilities."
