
Hurricane Grace made four landfalls in the Caribbean at tropical storm intensity and lower before impacting Mexico. The first landfall in Mexico was in the Yucatan with Category 1 wind speeds and resulted in widespread low-level wind damage. Hurricane Grace made a second landfall in Mexico in Veracruz with Category 3 wind speeds. In addition to wind damage, Grace brought heavy rain, causing multiple mudslides and floods in central and eastern Mexico.
