Hurricane Elsa

Hurricane Elsa, the first hurricane of the 2021 North Atlantic hurricane season, made multiple landfalls in Cuba, Florida, and New York. In the Caribbean, hurricane force winds caused minor to moderate damage in the Lesser Antilles, and lower wind speeds affected Hispaniola, Jamaica, and Cuba. The maximum sustained wind speeds for both US landfalls were tropical storm force, resulting in low-level wind damage along the east coast from Florida to Connecticut.
